Objectives:

Develop a real-time distributed multigrid Model Predictive Control (MPC) framework for monitoring and managing renewable energy systems with improved sustainability, security, stability, reliability, replicability, and predictability.

Create a simulation and prediction framework to obtain online-capable digital twins for real-time monitoring, load/power forecasting, and optimization of multi-carrier energy systems.

Design automatic fault detection and predictive maintenance tools within multi-carrier energy systems to enhance operational stability and reduce unplanned downtime.

Develop distributed model predictive control strategies to ensure stable and reliable management of renewable energy networks.

Enhance sector coupling in energy systems, integrating electricity, heating/cooling, and hydrogen to improve system efficiency and flexibility.

Foster interoperability and scalability through an integrated, vendor-neutral communication and data management system, supporting optimal grid management and adaptability.

Promote the wide adoption of INTEREST technologies internationally, supporting EU and international policy-makers and user communities.
