INTEREST

The main objective of the INTEREST is to develop and demonstrate a real-time distributed multigrid MPC framework for monitoring and energy management of renewable energy systems with an improved sustainability, security, stability, reliability, replicability, and predictability; considering advanced technology like digital twins for energy prediction and load forecasting, predictive maintenance, fault detection, reconfigurable model predictive control, and block chain based economic management.

Real Time Distributed MPC Framework:

S01: Development of Digital Twins for energy prediction based on real-time data

S02: Development of Digital Twins for automatic fault detection and predictive maintenance on real-time data

S03: Design of reconfigurable distributed MPC (dMPC) based on Digital Twins (S01, S02)

S04: Upscale of MPC architecture (S03) for multiple nested energy levels

S05: Integration of secure IoT and communication solutions for multi-level dMPC (S04)

S06: Validation, exploitation, and adoption of (S01 – S05)
